St. Vincent de Paul Report and Update
The St. Vincent de Paul Society is a lay Catholic organization that helps those in need. It is in over 130 countries worldwide. Our parish - St. Vincent de Paul group has been here for 26 years. It is our Christian duty to help those in need. St. Matthew had some very important words for all of us when he said: “The service of the poor is the service of Christ himself- the poor with whom we shall always be confronted and who we have to serve both in love and justice.”
In 2025, St. Vincent de Paul conference carried out 50 home visits, aiding 48 adults and 35 children in need. We are grateful for the generosity and dedication of our volunteers and supporters who made this outreach possible.
Assistance Provided in 2025. In 2025, our outreach supported those in need with: Groceries – $4,800; Rent & Utilities – $6,500; Fuel Oil – $300; Christmas Support for 13 Families – $4,500; Student Tuition –
$600; Medical Travel – $833. We also assisted with prescriptions, clothing, and back-to-school costs, and supported a St. Vincent de Paul conference in Dominica through a national twinning program. These efforts are made possible through donations from parishioners and visitors. Thank you for your generosity and support. We warmly invite new members to join our parish group. Please continue to pray for those among us who are struggling, and for the mission of our society. We would like to share a prayer that speaks to all of us and serves as a meaningful daily reflection:
“Lord Jesus, deepen our spirit of friendship. Make us responsive to the Christian calling to seek and find the forgotten, the suffering, or the deprived, so that we may bring them your love. Help us to be generous with our time, our possessions and ourselves in this mission of charity. Perfect in us your love and teach us to share with those in need.”
